Elliston Perot Morris Jr.
Elliston Perot Morris Jr. was born in 1899, the first child of Marriott Canby Morris and Jane Rhoads Morris. He was named after his paternal grandfather, Elliston Perot Morris and shared his father’s interest in photography. Like his brother, Marriott Canby Morris Jr., Elliston attended Westtown School and Haverford College. As a child he enjoyed trips to Pocono Lake and Sea Girt as well as an excursion to the American and Canadian West as a young man. Elliston was jailed as a conscientious objector during World War II.
Anna Sayler was born on January 1, 1907. She met Elliston Perot Morris while she was secretary at Pendle Hill Quaker Study Center near Philadelphia and he was a summer student on leave from American Friends Service Committee Relief Work in West Virginia. They were married in 1934. Anna Morris died in 2000, twenty years after her husband’s death in 1980.”
